Sanders supporter with American flag beaten up by Antifa

A registered Democrat and Bernie Sanders supporter protesting a right-wing rally in Oregon earlier this month was reportedly viciously beaten by militant members of Antifa because he was holding an American flag – which they called a “fascist symbol.”

Fox News reports Paul Welch said he took the flag with him to oppose the rally to “show that not only those on the right” can claim it as their symbol.

Welch, who voted for Sanders in 2016, said he wanted to "take it back."

He was soon surrounded by Antifa members who demanded he surrender the “fascist symbol.”

When he didn’t, video shows they struck him in the back of the head with an unidentified weapon.

Welsh received four staples on the back of his head and spent days recovering from a concussion.
