Blackberry-lemon sherbet
Ingredients:
- 2 cups puréed blackberries
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 3 cups half-and-half
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
A few notes on making this:
- You can use fresh or frozen blackberries for this. I prefer fresh.
- Strain your puree for a smoother sherbet.
- You will need an ice cream maker for this recipe.
Directions:
- Add strained puree, and all additional ingredients into food processor and blend together.
- Add the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions—about 30-40 minutes.
- After mixture is frozen, remove to container and freeze for an additional hour before serving.
