Investigation-happy Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee announced today that they plan to authorize subpoenas later this week for a dozen individuals connected to President Trump as part of the panel’s escalating probe of alleged abuses by the president.

Fox News reports the list of targets includes Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner as well as former Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his old deputy Rod Rosenstein.

Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler said that the panel is moving “as part of our ongoing investigation into obstruction, corruption, and abuse of power by the President and his associates.”

The effort comes ahead of hearings next week with former Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
