Chicago alderman's office vandalized, 3rd attack in month

CHICAGO (AP) — A Chicago alderman's office has been vandalized in what authorities say is the third attack on his property in less than a month. Police say bricks were thrown through the windows and front door of Alderman Raymond Lopez's office on the city's Southwest Side early Thursday. Lopez's home and his office were both similarly vandalized in July. Lopez says gangs are singling him out after he warned the owner of what he called a “known gang building” that landlords are responsible for illegal activities in their buildings. No arrests have been made.
